Here is my You Tube Channel screen cast version of Mr. Picasso Head. I feel like I could not only share tutorial videos online with other educators, but also with parents.
The whole process was fairly smooth, from creating the channel to uploading the video. I feel like I could use this channel connected to my school email often. Apple has an iTunes U that is really cool and an outlet to share course work and tutorial videos. Until the day comes when the heavens part and we switch back to Apples, this may be a good alternative.
YouTube lets you do a lot of things besides uploading your own videos - you can compile videos into playlists so they're easy to find later on, and you can share those videos with students and parents easily. It's nice that it's connected to our school email accounts and not Mac or PC-specific. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this, Jodi! I have never heard of Picasso Head - what a cool website. I was totally fascinated and forgot that I was supposed to be in "teacher" mode. I bet your kids love it! And I forgot about ITunes U. They do have great classes, etc. I have to revisit that again. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat website. Thanks for sharing it!
